Review

Harp 46 is an exciting contemporary instrumental trio emerging on the Seattle music scene. Comprised of Celtic harp, bass, and African Djembe drum, HARP 46 combines classical, jazz, folk and world influences in a novel contemporary instrumental sound. The harp's pristine elegance is enhanced by world rhythms and unexpected timbres. Soft textures, gently laid lines and lingering space between notes lend a minimalist quality to the work. Quite simply, the music of HARP 46 is for the sophisticated listener. Inspired and innovative, the music fairly floats. HARP 46 produces music capable of transporting the listener on fine designs of discipline and improvisation classically-inspired, then tinged with worldly influence.
