Sophomore album from Scottish indie act compared to Teenage Fanclub & Fountains Of Wayne, the followup to their Edwyn Collins produced debut 'Strange Weather Lately', which was named one of the top 50 albums of 1999. 'Play Dead' was produced by Tony Doogan (Belle & Sebastian, Mogwai) & features guest appearances from Chris Geddes & Stevie Jackson from Belle & Sebastian. 14 tracks including the singles, 'Tick Tock', 'Modes Of Transport' & the albums highlight 'Horror Movies'. 2001 release. Standard jewel case.Astrid is a four piece band from the Isle of Lewis, Scotland whose music has been likened to the Beatles, the Hollies and the La's. Guests on the album include Chris Geddes & Stevie Jackson from Belle & Sebastian.
