Songwriter Bobby Sharp, known and yet unknown, is on the rise again, after more than a quarter century of silence. He penned the Ray Charles hit, Unchain My Heart, in 1960, which was a hit again in 1987 for Joe Cocker. With the success of the Ray Charles biopic, Ray, and the help of a jazz vocalist named Natasha Miller, a rising star herself, Sharps songbook is out of his piano bench and heading for Americas jazz clubs and living rooms. Sharp recorded 11 of his originals with a band (he both sings, and plays the piano on the CD) for Bobby Sharp - The Fantasy Sessions (his debut album, at age 80!). It was recorded at (surprise!) Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, and produced by Natasha Miller.
