Review

BONDAGE FRUIT is guitarist Natsuki KIDO's band. Although being part of the trend of New Musics and Rock In Opposition, this Japanese outfit kept a true taste for schizoid and adventurous Progressive rock in the KING CRIMSON vein, with a particular inclination for the "Starless And Bible Black" period. Not unlike the fellow countryman GESTALT, MAGMA also takes part of the long list of the group's influences. It also includes latin, classical and improvised musics, among others... Not to mention jazz or hard-rock ! After two eponymous first albums and the brilliant "Reci" in 1997, "IV" was eventually out on the Gazul label, two years later. A true discovery for a connoisseur of the genre !
