"Carol Williams", the self-titled debut album of singer-songwriter saxophonist Carol Williams, presents a cross-section of jazz, folk and rock, with original compositions that bring an earthy intellectualism to some very profound, every-day life experiences. On this 8-song CD, Carol Williams performs on keyboards, saxophone, flute and vocals, accompanied by drums and bass guitar. A one-time reciepent of a NEA grant for music, JazzTimes calls her "an original, a force cutting across all convenient categories".
