Review

He has already worked with some of the best acts within hip-hop,and has been on an almost constant tour throughout Sweden and Europe for the past two years. Swedish MC Chords has made himself quite an impressive reputation among lyricists on both sides of the Atlantic with his strong punch-lines and flowing rhymes. Sharing his strategy for the album, "Nobody does Hip Hop albums any-more" states Chords. "Instead everybody has been doing gangsta rhymes or strange `R&B collabos'. I wanted to do an album with just hard beats and lyrics. You can have attitude at the jam without trying to shoot up the club. You can have fun on an album, without being a clown" And that's exactly what Chords has accomplished.Chords debut album "The Garden Around the Mansion" gives Hip Hop fans the original essence of what Hip Hop was all about: Original beats for the streets, intelligent lyrical execution and a fun ride for the listener
