Sanctuary is the hauntingly beautiful new album from saxophonist Christian Forshaw - a collaboration of saxophone, church organ, percussion and voices. Sanctuary reached #1 in the Amazon.com Classical Music Chart and has been nominated for the Classical Brit Awards. Featuring the choir of King's College, London, it is a highly personal and evocative exploration of the sound world of sacred music and includes arrangements of works by Machaut, Vaughan Williams, Ireland and others. All arrangements by Christian Forshaw. Christian Forshaw graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 1995 and immediately began working with some of the world's finest ensembles, including the London Sinfonietta, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the Philharmonia Orchestra. He has toured extensively with the Michael Nyman Band, Icebreaker, the Delta Saxophone Quartet and the Composers Ensemble.
