Review

Cashdollar has worked with the likes of Bob Dylan, Leon Redbone, Graham Parker, BeauSoliel, and was steel guitarist with Asleep At The Wheel for 8 years. Surprisingly, Slide Show is her debut album. Almost as an illustration of her sideman experience, she generously shares the spotlight with some stellar company. Slide Show finds her trading and blending lines and music with guitarist Sonny Landreth, tele-slinger Redd Volkaert, steeler Lucky Oceans, and gulf coast pianists Johnny Nocholas and Marcia Ball along with Mike Auldridge, Jorma Kaukonen and Steve James. Cindy navigates her musical journey through shimmer and swamp, distortion and twang, and simple acoustic bliss. Cindy is a frequent guest on public radio's A Prarie Home Companion.
