The Woodstock Jazz Festival was a celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Creative Music Studio founded in 1971 by Karl Berger and Ornette Coleman. The Woodstock Jazz Festival was the most significant public performance in the history of the Creative Music Studio, the twentieth century1s premier study center for creative music. These live performances have been captured here with an uncanny clarity of sound that faithfully preserves the creative fire of the day.
