Review
The man best remembered for "American Pie," his early 1970s epic kiss-off to the rock & roll scene, came back in 1997 to issue his second album of Christmas music. Like Christmas, his 1991 album, this one is filled with songs that everyone should remember. Don McLean may have walked away from the pop music spotlight, but just as years ago he sensitively delivered his tribute "Vincent" to the late Vincent Van Gogh, he now turns a sympathetic ear to "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)," "Blue Christmas" and "Let It Snow!
