Review
Astounding Eddie Hazel-dominated Funkadelic album (from 1973), remastered for the first time in 15 years from the original master tapes. This is probably the tightest and most accessible of Funkadelic's Westbound albums, featuring track after track of incredible music. The CD includes the original seven track album plus the sharp-as-tacks edit of the title track, released as a single, and the wonderful guitar duel of "Vital Juices", which was the B-side and continuation of "Red Hot Momma". In-depth sleeve notes from funk expert and series consultant Dean Rudland, including details of the band's history and the recording of this album. Full color booklet, which reproduces the classic sleeve art by Pedro Bell, as well as contemporary memorabilia, ads and photos. Westbound U.S.
