Review

"If you could wrap Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee into one package, it would probably look like George Higgs. Not only does Higgs play blues on the guitar, but he is also an artist on the harmonica." - UNC-TV

Named 2001's Best Blues Album of the Year by Living Blues. Pure Eastern Carolina country blues, with great harp playing in a style reminiscent of Peg Leg Sam! George Higgs is among the last surviving Piedmont Blues artists. He learned to play the harmonica as a child, and once he caught harmonica player Peg Leg Sam playing locally in Rocky Mount, a lasting impression was made.
