Review

Waiting for Francis is the debut album from the LA based quartet Greyhounds. The album is primarily instrumental except for three songs, which feature the vocals of guitarist Andrew Trube. Keyboardist Anthony Farrell's tasteful Hammond and Rhodes playing compliment the funky old school grooves and jazz/funk improvisations. Influences range from Herbie Hancock to Medeski, Martin & Wood to The Brand New Heavies. Sure to get your head bobbin' and booty movin', this album goes perfect with a cold brew at your Sunday afternoon barbecue.
