If Axioms, Impossible Recording Machine's first release, was a sampling of disparate moods and textures ranging from pop to experimental to ambient, Echo The Moon, their second release, is a more singular vision, following the course of an emotive theme from beginning to end. Echo The Moon is alternately beautiful and eerie, gentle and razor-sharp. Flashes of optimism gleam amid waves of hopelessness... sounds which are at once familiar and alien flow together like metaphysical currents.
