On this energizing collection of Spanish-language devotional songs, Texan singer Jaci Velásquez uses her deeply emotional, octave-stretching voice to spread the word to a whole new audience. About half the songs are translations of existing hits, from "God So Loved" to "On My Knees," "Little Voice Inside," and "I Promise," while the rest are new songs written in Spanish. The songs are fabulous, and they mirror the eclecticism of contemporary Hispanic sounds--from the amped-up Tejano surefire hit "Con Tu Amor," which will please fans of Selena, to the many lush ballads and the freestyle-inspired dance-floor rocker "Junto a Mi." --Mike McGonigal
