Jackonuts first and last full-length album goes right for the juggular, and doesn't let up for just under 30 minutes, dragging you on a wild ride through some of the most original, exciting, twisted, off- kilter rock music of the 1990's. Fronted by ex-Bar-B-Q Killers' Laura Carter, like Patti Smith and iggy Pop in the same pair of pants- Jackonuts have the rhytmic aptitude of The Birthday Party or Scratch Acid and the gorgeous melodic sense of Sonic Youth or Come. Half recorded by Steve Albini and half by David Barbe (of Sugar), this record has ass-kicking sound to boot.
