Unique 1987 compilation featuring 16 of his very best hits for both Warner Brothers AND Columbia, including nine of his 11 top 40 hits: the #1 'You've Got A Friend', the top10's 'Fire & Rain', 'How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)' &'Handyman', plus 'Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight', 'Shower The People', 'Up On The Roof', 'Your Smiling Face' & 'Her Town Too'. Also contains the classics 'Sweet Baby James', 'Carolina In My Mind' and 'Something In The Way She Moves'. A joint CBS & WEA International release. Sweet Baby James Taylor set the standard for sincere pop singer/songwriters at the start of the 70's with his first big hit 'Fire & Rain'. Previously on the Beatles' Apple label, he quickly bolted over the Warner Bros. after Apple's first demise. He moved to Columbia Records in the late 70's and has remained there since. This disc is unique in that it marks the first time two major labels shared billing on a collection from a major artist. Taylor's best from both labels are on this CD.
