Review

This is a girl who was raised on traditional gospel. She still writes and sings straight from her soulbut now, its the rock n roll that is her first love. Jen Elliott was raised in Jacksonville, Florida and moved to Manhattan just over four years ago for the experience. Lets just say its been a heck of an experience. Just over two years ago, a senior A&R executive at City Canyons Records heard a live, a cappella, and completely raw CD of Jens original music and the label agreed to take her on. Jumping at the longshot opportunity, Jen began work on a demo project with the up and coming indie record label. Amazingly enough, this ultimately turned into her debut CD, THE SECRET'S OUT, available to you now on Amazon.com. The debut CD was greeted by critical acclaim and airplay on college and independent radio from coast to coast. Since then, Jen and her band have managed to make a name for themselves in the competitive New York City music scene--but she is intent on constantly pushing her own personal and musical limits. Jen and the band are now writing and recording a hard hitting new album, THIS DAMN SONG, under the City Canyons Records imprint. Look for an EP of the new album due out in early 2006. For now though, try her debut album, THE SECRET'S OUT. You'll become a life-long fan.
