Review

On its release in 1976, John Carpenter's bleak siege movie Assault On Precinct 13 became a cult classic. But it's Carpenter's minimalist synthesizer score that creates much of the film's tense and menacing atmosphere, and is recognized as a touchstone in electronic music. This 25-minute score has never been available on CD, until now. In the liner notes Carpenter admits he ripped off Led Zeppelin's 'Immigrant Sing' for his simple synth refrain. 16 tracks & 16-page booklet with film notes, score notes, producer's notes, interview, & color photos.
