Review

The collection contains seven original songs by Kimberly along with Greg Trooper's "Ireland", Townes Van Zandt's "Niles River Blues", and the classic "Return to Me". Her own seven songs range from a hypnotic ballad with a lush Orbison-like feel apparent on "Sweetest Surrender", to uptempo country with a Texas attitude on "Death and Texas", to the sweetly captivating contemporary bluegrass sound of "When I Hear Trains", to the Cajun meets Dallas toe-tapper "Squeeze Inn" and more! The collection boasts an amazing group of musicians that include fiddler Aubrey Haynie (Faith Hill), bassist Viktor Krauss & percussionist James Gilmer (Lyle Lovett), guitarist Scott Neubert (Trace Adkins, Hal Ketchum), and harmonies by celebrated singer/songwriters Claire Lynch and Jim Lauderdale.
