A Bouquet of jazz standards and originals, with three blues, by a New York singer pianist offering versatile selections ranging from Monk-like blues, bebop masterpieces or floating ballads. Features three pianists: the lyrical tapestries of Don Friedman, the bop wit of Kenny Gates, and the ebullient inventions of Jeb Patton. And three stellar trumpeters: Joe Wilder, who is revered by musicians and fans for his tasteful stylings; William Fielder, whose spiritual sound elevates every musical context from Bach to bop; Mark McGowan, a young lion from Oakland who is an underground legend.
