Review

Over 20 Years after her Biggest Chart Hits, EMI/APPLE Finally Released this Collection of Hits from the Fair Welsh Singer in 1995. At Twiggy's Insistance, Paul Mccartney Signed her Up to the Label Roster and She Promptly Delivered their Biggest Hit (Other Than a Beatle Tune) with "Those were the Days". It Topped Charts around the World and Filled the Coffers of the Label and Spurred them on to Do More. Not Willing to Risk Anything Else, Mccartney Then Wrote What Would Become her Second Top 40 Smash "Goodbye", which Did Respectably, but Not at the Chart Summits of It's Predecessor (And Appears Here on CD for the First Time). Following the Demise of the Beatles and the Unravelling of the Label, So Went Hopkin's International Attention. However, Many Never Forgot her Sweet Voice and Keep a Flame Lit for Her, as She Continued Performing in the Years Hence. This Collection Presents the Best of her Apple Recordings, Produced by Both Sir Paul and Tony Visconti.
