"A Gathering of Moments" is a collection of David Tamulevich's most recent writings. For those who were endeared by the softer, deeper elements on "A Resolution of Something" (2004), this album is very much in that school. With flowing guitar instrumentation -- showcasing the seasoned musicianship of David Tamulevich and Michael Hough -- the songs on this album are complemented by sincere and humble lyrics. But only when fitting. These fellas endeavour to let the music stand for itself in a fashion only boldly undertaken by veteran songwriters. Tamulevich's tone is the voice of a generation -- not condescending, just rich with humble wisdom and simple truths. As if to emphasize the maturity reflected in this album, "The Night Goes On Forever" is a collaboration Hough and Tamulevich accomplished with the help of a local Michigan classroom of students -- and reflects the whimsy still preserved in Mustard's Retreat.
