Review

Since the release of Plastiq Phantom's critically acclaimed Enjoy The Art Of Lying Down (2001), Darrin Wiener has been a busy bee on a buzzing musical blitzkrieg. Wiener remixed Grammy-nominated Mystic, wrote a song for the feature film documentary on Bob Moog, contributed extensively to the DJs On Strike! campaign, toured with sound terrorist Scanner, played shows with Modest Mouse, Luke Vibert, Mu-ziq & The Shins and created a number of creative motion graphic pieces with Brazilian design collective Nakd, including commercial pieces for clients such as MTV, Nike, AMC, Apple & Motorola. Along the way, Wiener partnered up with Jeremiah Green of Modest Mouse and took the Plastiq Phantom project into a more organic and rhythmically diverse direction.
