Review

Praga Khan made their mark as an acid house group with their entrée album, Conquers Your Love. Relentless singles like "Injected with a Poison," "I Feel Good," and "Rave Alert" could agitate a room full of ravers into a frothy mass of extended arms and gyrating bodies. It's pure energy delivered in buzz, bass, siren, rap, and pitch shifters. Wailing female vocals take it home. The tracks groove so hard, all you need to do is close your eyes and you're surrounded by manic strobes of color. These songs roll over you like a giant neon beach ball--you're flattened by sound, but never crushed. Hang on, you'll roll right on top of the ball, and back down again.
