With his second CD release for SOUTHPORT, pianist and composer Ron Surace presents fourteen new, original jazz compositions. The melodies are infectious -- you'll be hearing these tunes in your head and in your heart, over and over again! The musicians interpreting the music of Ron Surace are a strong Chicago-based ensemble, featuring Eric Schneider on tenor sax, Michael Arnopol on acoustic bass and Rusty Jones on drums.

Listen as Surace puts his individual spin on the opening easy-swinging track "Cheap Skate", the beautiful ballad, "Here And Now" or the Latin flavor of "Samba II". "The Clone" is a bow to Dave Brubeck's "Take Five"-- how many solid new jazz songs can you hear in 5/4 time that stand the test of time-- the melody won't let you go!
