Review

After the success of the Dirty Dozen proved that New Orleans brass band music could be contemporary, experimental and even avant-garde, the floodgates were opened for a new wave of brass music, coined by Billboard as "Brass Hop." The Soul Rebels are members of a young New Orleans generation of brass bands that hit deep second-line rhythms laced with salsa, jazz, reggae, funk, R&B and hip hop.
