Review

This plaintive collection of songs which combine country with hints of blues, gospel and her indigenous Appalachian folk, not only displays her unique vocal stylings, but her creative songwriting talent as well, as showcased in the six tracks she wrote or co-wrote. An intensely personal musical journey, Appalachian Blues is "the most philosophical project I've ever done," says Stella. "It's been both a catharsis and a celebration for me."
