Limited edition digipak reissue of 2000 compilation from Berlin's finest. Stereo Total are Brezel & Francoise, & they live in Berlin. He's German, she's French. They are, according to Momus, the best band in the world. With influences ranging from French girlpop of the 60's, German cabaret, disco & 80's electropop, not to mention the omnipresent ghost of Serge Gainsbourg, Stereo Total are a tribute to all that has been best about pop music in the second half of the 20th century. 'Total Pop' is a Momus-curated compilation comprising six tracks from each of their four albums on German label Bungalow 'Oh Ah' (1996), 'Monokini' (1997), 'Juke-Box Alarm' (1998) & 'My Melody' (1999). Rough-edged, vulgar, clever, parodic, electronic, Japanesey even at their most European, cheap & ephemeral even at their most transcendent & classic, Stereo Total are Total Pop.24 Tracks from a Band that have a Wide Range of Influences Ranging from German Cabaret to 80's Electro Pop.
