Armenian Music Awards 2001 Winner Led by Armen Martirosyan, one of the most progressive contemporary composers and arrangers, The Armenian Jazz Band took Armenian ethnic jazz to a different dimension. Masterfully fused with national instruments (duduk, dhol, shvi, pku), the pieces are both groovy and mystic. As Chick Corea wrote: "This music is alive and unique, adventurous and beautiful."
