"Slingshot", the MAC SWANKY TRIO's debut album, captures in the studio the crackling energy of their live performances. The songs contain witty half-rapped, half sung lyrics and combine a compelling blend of styles--equal parts rock, funk, lounge jazz and hip-hop. It all adds up to a booty-shaking beat, dripping with cool. "Slingshot" was co-produced with engineer Joe "Pus" Johnston (Cake/the Deftones).
