"Up Above" is the result of Town and Country's extensive touring with minimal composition icon Tony Conrad. Using instruments bought on various tours in Japan, the band constructs woozy, meditative drones that incorporate elements of Asian ceremonial music, South American holiday carols, and North American folk.
