Coming out of Cuba and first heard there in the early 90's, the new style of music and dancing now known as Timba is the most significant development to classic salsa since the early 70's. It fuses salsa with hip-hop, adding reggae and jazz (among others!) into a Caribbean based stew that becomes a new way of looking at salsa. 14 tracks from various artists. 2002.Primarily from Cuba, Timba is the New Style of Music and Dancing.
