Review
The first black metal band, Venom's loose, hook-free offerings to Lucifer were amateurish, but thunderously heavy. Welcome to Hell featured indecipherable vocals, overdriven guitars, and frenetic drums that were rarely in sync, but which influenced a league of devil worshippers to follow. --Jon Wiederhorn
