Angolan Singer-songwriter Waldemar Bastos is Currently Signed to David Byrne's Luaka Bop Label, but his Three EMI Albums Recorded Between 1985 and 1995 were What Originally Caught Mr. Byrne's Ears. Released in 1991, 'angola Minha Namorada' is the Second of the Three and the Most Accomplished of his Recordings Combining Modern Pop Stylings and the Soul of African Tradition.
