Review
With a penchant for hypnotically rhythmic percussion loops, DJ/producer Josh Wink can rapidly build up a simple theme into a large, intricate event without missing a single beat. On "Back in tha' Day," Wink ignites an electroacoustic free-for-all before snapping the tune back to ground zero. "I'm on Fire's" electric ambience sets the scene for the whisper-pure female vocals of guest Caroline Crawley. Wink is on the cutting edge when it comes to producing modern dance music, and Herehear is a perfect introduction to the future. --Paul Clark
